As if life couldn't get any better for Tom Brady being a hot, rich NFL quarterback with a supermodel girlfriend -- now it turns out the football star just made a killing in real estate. Donald Trump, we've found your apprentice.
In 2006, Brady bought a Boston building and began renovating and converting it into four condos. According to the Boston Globe, the New England Patriot kept the top floor for himself and recently sold the other three to a South American businessman for $7.95 million -- about $1.7 million more than he paid for the entire building. Housing crisis? What national housing crisis?!
Besides the Boston property, Brady recently purchased a plot of dirt in L.A. for $11 million and put his NYC pad on the market for $19 million. Comparatively, the Cowboys' quarterback Tony Romo is living on skid row, purchasing a home in Dallas for under $700K and having girlfriend Jessica Simpson decorate it. Oh, the humanity.

Dane Cook has apparently decided renting apartments is for people who don't make zillions and have a dog that craps in common areas.

After losing an eviction case because a jury decided Dane's dog was pooping with aplomb in the common areas, Dane dropped a pile on a Hollywood Hills mansion -- $7,078,412 to be specific.
Now Beast the pinscher can pinch a loaf wherever he feels like it, including on the Travertine Navona floors!

We've confirmed the guy who went into escrow to buy Ed McMahon's house has pulled out of the deal.
We're told the buyer never came up with any cash ... which means the whole thing sounds phony. The escrow was opened without a deposit, but the buyer never put his money where his mouth was.
So that leaves Ed with no place to live if the house does go into foreclosure ... which again leads to the doorstep of Donald Trump. Trump has said he'd step in again and buy the house and lease it back to Ed for life. Our sources say Donald has offered a low ball offer already, but that's it.
We're told Trump has had discussions with Ed's realtor, Alex Davis, since the deal fell apart last Thursday. Will Donald save the day or is this a publicity stunt? We know the stumbling block with Trump is price -- he hasn't offered what Ed wants/needs to get the monkeys off his back.

Is that "Frasier" money not enough?
Already making some serious TV syndication coin, Kelsey Grammer stands to make a cool $6 mil off a house he just bought a year ago!
According to the LA Times, Grammer has listed an English Country-style estate in Holmby Hills for $19.9 million. He bought the house last summer for $13.7 mil.
You would think his wife Camille's notorious IBS would drive the price down, not up. To each their own.

Sean Penn and wife Robin Wright Penn have put their big-time Marin County, Calif. home up for sale. Anyone got a spare $15 mil lying around??

The Penns bought the 10,000 square foot mega-manse for a steal in '96 -- paying just $2.1 million for it. Then they spent two years fixing up the joint, and turned the 1933 Spanish-style home into a serious crib.
The two-story house has five bedrooms, a home office, a nanny suite, a home gym and a three-car garage -- plus a two bedroom guest house that has its own two-car garage. It also has all the standard celebrity home accouterments: pool, tennis court, big lawn and gardens and a dog run.
Sean and Robin filed, then unfiled, for divorce last year. Maybe they're moving in with Josh.

When you have seven children from five different women you need a big house.

Lucky for Rod Stewart, his 18,700 square foot Beverly Hills estate has 8 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms on 4 acres of land-- enough space for everyone to play nice.
The place is huge, but to put it in perspective, Candy Spelling's new apartment is smaller by about 2,000 square feet. Her APARTMENT!

Even Candy Spelling is feeling the housing crunch -- she's scaling back from the infamous Spelling mansion to a paltry 16,500 square foot penthouse.
Spelling just dropped $47 million (!!!) of her late husband's money on a two-floor condo that is a third of the size of her 56,500 square foot Holmby Hills estate. The apartment is located on the 41st and 42nd floors of the brand new Century building and won't be ready until 2009 -- around the time Tori gives birth to her fifth rugrat.
Candy is giving up her notorious gift wrapping room, 3,500 square foot closet and bowling alley and making do with the condo's two fireplaces, dining room for 25, staff quarters, massage room, rose garden and private swimming pool. These are tough times, people!

At least one former "American Idol" isn't worried about the housing crisis -- Kelly Clarkson just bought herself a new crib, y'all!

The OG "Idol" purchased this really nice -- but modest for a Grammy-winning pop star -- $1.5 million home in Nashville.
Maybe keeping it simple will be keeping Kelly from having to perform at local balloon festivals, housing developments or outlet malls in the future!

TMZ has learned Britney Spears may be finally moving out of her place in the Hollywood Hills -- to become a full-fledged California Valley girl. Like, totally, like, awesome, y'all!
We're told Brit Brit is "looking like crazy" to buy a house in a very exclusive part of Calabasas, located in the San Fernando Valley. We hear Brit's heart is set on a place in an extremely well-protected private community, home to rocker Travis Barker among a slew of other famous people. In fact, there are two sets of guard gates keeping Brit's potential new home from the common people.
Sources say Brit's been hanging out in the community gym lately, however, we're told no official deal on the mansion has been made yet.
And how's this for mom of the year -- the new pad would be closer (and certainly more accessible) to K-Fed and the kids in Tarzana, which is just a quick jaunt down the 101 Freeway ... depending on traffic.

Author Tom Clancy's home suffered $10,000 worth of damage after a fire burned up a deck at his Maryland home. Don't worry, the residual check from the next re-run of "Patriot Games" should cover it.
Clancy was home at the time, but not injured in the blaze, a Maryland fire marshal spokesman said. It took 50 firefighters about 10 minutes to control the fire.
International espionage is not suspected.
