Manilow's "View" of Elisabeth -- "It Didn't Feel Good"

After he ditched "The View" -- or got ditched by them, depending on who you're talking to -- Barry Manilow and his face seemed to be unmoved by the uproar over his Hasselbeck boycott. And that's Barry in the picture here, not Babwa Walters.

TMZ caught up with the man of exactly one face after a rehearsal, and he told us that while he loved "all those people" at "The View," appearing with Elisabeth on the show "didn't feel good." Barry said he wouldn't appear on the show because he disagreed with what he deemed Hasselbeck's "dangerous" opinions.

Meanwhile, on today's show, Elisabeth wondered if, given recent studies about older men and younger women, she and Manilow couldn't get along down the road. Whoopi said that Barry had already agreed to be on "The View" again soon -- and we're presuming that means that Elisabeth will have to be there, too.

16. EH may have an unpopular 'view' of our gov't and the war but it's not dangerous, Barry Manilow (BM hahahaha) also has, to some, an unpopular opinion but it's not any more dangerous. As the spouse of an active duty, deployed Marine I can honestly say that our military went to war, our country didn't. The military doesn't have the support from the US population that they need and deserve. Just like millions of Americans they have a job to do but if they don't do that job effectively, efficiently and to the best of their ability they and their comrads might very well loose their lives, they can't say "I don't feel right doing this" because they don't get fired for it, they end up in the brig. Of course there are many, many Americans who do support the troops, others say they do but it's just lip service then there are those who have absolutely lost their mind like Cindy Sheehan.
You're entitled to your opinion as is everyone else but if you don't support the troops and the families that are home waiting for an email or the extremely rare phone call please don't say that you do, in doing so you cause more harm than doing good regardless of your intentions. Celebrities like BM, Charlie Sheen, Rosie O'Donnel, et al only speak out because they know they have a platform, exposure and the audience. If they were your every day Joe they wouldn't be getting the attention they do nor would they be able to spew the venomous opinions to the masses.

24. It does not help to not appear on the show. Barbara Walters in such a , well person, she will ruin your career with all her powers if you don't bow to her, so, go on, forget about the twit, she does not represent the republican people, just a silly, stronge, unwilling to learn group whoes minds are closed. That goes for both parties, each group, has Elizbeths, or all four on the ballots. We must learn to tolerate one another. Come on when she goes to give birth to her second child. That when I intend to watch the show. Not a fan of hers before Rosie, and even like her less now. Not because of Rosie, but because of who she thinks she is, but this is America. Turn off the television or channel. Ignor her, be a guest and show your the bigger person.

25. HE needs to stop acting like a lil bitch and act like the grown man that he is! trying to make a big scene he should have gone on the show voiced his opinion and kept his fans instead he cried like a lil bitch and lost a large number of his female fans!

26. Thank you Barry Manilow! If other celebrities would speak out like you did, we could get Elisabeth fired from the show. Elisabeth ruins every show for me, I can't stand her. Other celebrities would not even shake her hand when they were on the show. Fire Elisabeth!!!

29. Elizabeth's views are "dangerous"? Are we sure he's not confusing her with Rosie and doesn't realize Rosie is finally off the airwaves??? WTF is wrong with people these days, when did so many people become whiney little victims that think their opinion is the only one that matters? I don't agree with 95% of what comes out of Rosie's mouth, but I still respect that it's her opinion...however jacked it may be.

30. Barry does not want to talk to anyone that does not agree with him. that makes him dangerous. I don't agree with his life style but I still was a fan of his. Now I won't compromise my principles and buy anymore of his cd's.
