Manilow's "View" of Elisabeth -- "It Didn't Feel Good"

After he ditched "The View" -- or got ditched by them, depending on who you're talking to -- Barry Manilow and his face seemed to be unmoved by the uproar over his Hasselbeck boycott. And that's Barry in the picture here, not Babwa Walters.

TMZ caught up with the man of exactly one face after a rehearsal, and he told us that while he loved "all those people" at "The View," appearing with Elisabeth on the show "didn't feel good." Barry said he wouldn't appear on the show because he disagreed with what he deemed Hasselbeck's "dangerous" opinions.

Meanwhile, on today's show, Elisabeth wondered if, given recent studies about older men and younger women, she and Manilow couldn't get along down the road. Whoopi said that Barry had already agreed to be on "The View" again soon -- and we're presuming that means that Elisabeth will have to be there, too.

151. Barry Censors employees of concert halls- every employee is instructed NOT TO LOOK AT HIM- if they pass him by in the hall!!!!! And his vegetarian meal served perfectly and the same every; performance!!!!! Douche! Lizzie self-righteously passes judgments every day from her high horse - yet someone else stands up to say something about this and that they don't like it and THEY ARE THE WRONG ONE???? I say more power to you Barry and I totally admire and support you for your position. And as far as you people who say you won't buy his CDS or tickets anymore, he doesn't need you anyway. He is a legend and has more fans than he needs. Besides, I think this move has earned him many new fans, like me!

154. I don't know if Barry is gay, but so what if he is. It is his right and he is free to be gay if he wants to be. Lizzie is exercising her right to say what she approves and doesn't approve of and the list is long (i.e. no abortion, no adultery, no gay marriage, etc). and he is exercising his right to say he thinks she is judgmental and dangerous. By the way, I'm not gay, but I have had an abortion and I have commited adultery and I don't think that makes me a bad person or because I have commited adultery, I can't be a good parent, as Lizzie says- I'm just human and I accept that I do human things. So I too take offense to her judgements and self-rightous remarks because she is judging me as well AND IF SHE IS WILLING TO JUDGE OTHERS THEN SHE MUST BE WILLING TO BE JUDGED HERSELF AND SO WHAT BARRY IS DOING IS NO DIFFERENT THAN WHAT SHE IS DOING SO IF YOU ARE WILLING TO ALLOW HER THAT RIGHT YTHAN YOU MUST BE WILLING TO ALLOW HIM THAT RIGHT AS WELL OR ELSE YOU ARE A HYPOCRITE.

157. Come on now he is promoting his album and needs all the help he can find, after all he is a has been. The "View" is just that, the opinion and views of four women, Rosie with all her controversy is not educated beyond comedienne and screwball leftist opinions. Joy the same (ugh) and Barbara has shown her education and credentials and how to look great and make money. Elizabeth is the prettiest, youngest on the show and her opinion is her own and in this country that is called Democracy and we are all entitled to it. I threw his albums out along with Barbara's, sadly so. He needs to go back in the closet and sing to his heart content, not all of us give a damn what he thinks. As for the politics regarding all of them check out the education of each and see if they can back up their "Views". Personally I don't watch the show any longer and the dingbat is gone. Oh well, have laundry to do.

159. So now it's dangerous to be a conservative? Isn't it the liberal philosophy to allow everyone to have opinions and be able to speak freely? Manilow is apparently a fan of censorship. He must not believe in his own convictions enough to allow other people to speak their mind.

So before you go pointing fingers at the Liberals, point your finger right back at the right wingers. Meanwhile they are highly insulted if Lizzie's career and education is questioned. 162. I have been watching the View for many years and love Joy and Lisa (when she was on). Rosie was horrible (I loved her talk show before she got so mean and hateful - you can see it in her face). Whoopi is pleasant - I'm liking her more each day. Elisabeth is a jerk - she makes me sick. If Barry had half a brain he would have been "available" while Elisabeth was on maternity leave, and not before. My absolute favorite is Sherri. What a sweetie. She makes me laugh - she's so hysterical AND smart. When they announced her last week I literally jumped up and down on my sofa when she walked on the set.

You were the man but you will go down with Rosie. Everyone does have a right to their views that is why the view has different people there and not all with the same opion or it would be biast.

I think that he was afraid that Elizabeth would ask him if he is gay right on live TV.

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH BARRY. ...I AM SO SICK OF HASSELBECKS BIG MOUTH. I DON'T KNOW HOW HER HUSBAND CAN STAND HER. SHE MAKES THE SHOW UNBEARABLE TO WATCH.....SO GOOD FOR YOU BARRY AND SOMEONE PUT A MUZZLE ON HER.
